Merci Retrieval System Reaches Stroke Milestone
June 17, 2009...The clot removal system used to treat stroke patients at Decatur Memorial Hospital has reached a milestone in the stroke care community.
Concentric Medical, Inc., the global leader in devices for clot removal in ischemic stroke patients, has announced that the company’s Merci Retrieval System has been used in over 10,000 patients worldwide since its launch in August 2004. DMH began using this system in October of 2006. Read more...
DMH Announces Grand Opening of Hyperbaric Chambers
May 22, 2009...Decatur Memorial Hospital will soon be the first in Decatur to offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients.
On Thursday, May 14, DMH introduced hyperbaric oxygen therapy to the community with a ribbon cutting ceremony for two state-of-the-art hyperbaric chambers. Read more...
